A/N: I've been glum at the slight lull in posting that seems to be going on in my communities lately, so I decided that the cure was to get out and write something. Bel is one of my favorite characters, despite the frustrating pronouns or lack thereof.
Summary: Life as a mercenary means less fighting than Bel is accustomed to.

The color you've chosen for your text shows up very poorly on my reading page, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who has a reading page with a dark background. Would you mind editing to remove the color information?

Hmm, thanks for noting that! To be clear: are you talking about the Dreamwidth entry or the Ao3 version?

Between cut-and-paste and a whole new operating system (what a wonderful problem to have!) I'm going to have to re-learn all this stuff. I'll fix that this morning!

The Dreamwidth entry. The code sort of has the look of something that's been pasted into the Rich Text Editor from a source that likes to scribble over everything with markers, like Word. (I have a long history with the Rich Text Editor, and deep sympathy for anyone who has to wrestle with it.)

Okay, I think that's it. (You were right--there were miles of HTML in it, and then it wouldn't make line breaks until I put it back into Rich Text and back out again? What is this nonsense?)

It looks like you've got it, and thanks so much!

There's a sneaky "don't autoformat" checkbox that's basically perfect for doing fussy HTML like tables, but jacks everything else up by ignoring line breaks unless they're coded in (which the Rich Text mode would helpfully do); it sounds like you might have run into that.
