Random thought on Miles post Gentleman Jole

One of the things that gets brought up is that Gregor and Impsec are going to have to start looking at declassifying Miles' various galactic adventures as 'Miles Naismith.' One wonders how big a impact this is going to have on Barrayar, especially since he's only really well known for being Aral's son, Gregor's buddy and the youngest Imperial Auditor.

A lot of "well now everything makes sense" and an increase in the medal count Miles wears to official parties?

But will he wear his Cetagandan medal - that's what I want to know!

Well, since he got that as Lord Vorkosigan, the medal-wearing-ness shouldn't change. Still did a service to Cetaganda as himself. When Cetagandans are present, maybe?

Hmm... but wouldn't that have the effect that some of 'Admiral Naismith's' enemies then have his home address and know to look at Mile's family to use as leverage...[which admittedly would be like sticking their hands in a blender.]

I think the idea is that Admiral Naismith has been dead for long enough that his enemies will have forgotten/tempers will have cooled enough that they're not going to go after Count Vorkosigan, Imperial Auditor. I also recall that the only state-level enemies he got (rather than individual people) were the Cetagandans, who a) like Miles, and b) already know.

I dunno, she's known who he is since they met, and she's also spent some decades on the run from Cetagandans. (Or perhaps they caught her – and that's how they managed to confirm that Vorkosigan = Naismith.)
