First off, I am very jealous of people who have ordered and already ready the eARC. I read the six teaser chapters and I'm just aching to read more, but I don't really think I can afford it twice, even with pre-ordering discounts. That said, I found something really weird and wondered if anyone knew what was going on.
I was looking at the pre-order options on B&N's website to compare to Amazon, since I'm thinking of pre-ordering locally so I can just swing by the store in November to pick up my copy. I found that they have the book listed twice with two different prices. A quick perusal didn't show any differences to me, but perhaps someone who doesn't have a raging headache or has looked at them before can clue me into the differences.
In the meantime, I'm just re-reading my favorite Ivan fic on AO3.
And let me, one more time, profoundly thank the MLB fan community for being so generous and kind when reading my little fan fics. I haven't participated in this fandom for long (despite being a fan from when Barrayar was published in serial form in Analog years and years ago), but I have felt more welcome here than in many of my other long-standing fandoms.
