Apparently the community was not open to anonymous posting or openID posting until just now. Erk! That was a mod oversight. Sorry, if anyone has been left out of the conversation because of this!

I've fixed it and now everyone should be able to post (although anonymous users will have to complete a CAPTCHA, and it would be very nice if people would use openIDs where possible).
