Chalionverse fic--okay here?

I'm writing a Chalion-verse fic about Iselle and Ista, set after Paladin of Souls, for femgenficathon and was poking around DW to see if there was an appropriate community to cross-post it to.  This is the only Bujold community I found on DW, and the rules say that occasional non-Vorkosiverse Bujold commentary was probably okay, but there's a difference between commentary and fic posting.  Since this isn't a very active community, I was wondering if it might be an idea to open it up to other Bujold stuff, including non-Vorkosiverse fic; if not generally, at least for my fic when I get it finished and posted?  I highly, highly doubt there is enough Chalion-content on DW to successfully run a community.

(Also, eventually I'm going to need a beta.  But it will be a while before then.)

My vote would be that it would be OK with me to open up the comm to other Bujold content. If this were high traffic it might be different, but we get maybe one post a month. (And even the Bujold comm on LJ, which does accept non-vorkosigan stuff, has barely any traffic.)

So there's my vote, in case it counts. :-)

I read any Bujold-based fic I can get my hands on, so while I'm not a mod or anything, if you don't post it here could you pleaseplease post saying where you do post it, when it's done? And I'd be happy to see it here.

As the official mod, I think that yes - the rules need to be changed to open it up to all Bujold stuff! And I will do so.

If it's not very long, I'd be willing to try to Beta-read it; I don't have experience beta-ing fanfic, but I do have experience with non-fiction editing and I think I have a good ear, and I know the canon.

Sounds great! When I get it done, I shall e-mail it to you. Being polyfannish, and more importantly polyficcish, I am often left struggling to find betas for each fandom I write; someone with experience (even if not with fic) who knows the canon is a godsend.
