Vorkosiverse on Crack_Van--new overview

Okay, with the help of raveninthewind the original crack_van overview has been updated.  I'd like to start my reccing off with a quick (very quick) recap of the high points--what kinds of things should be included?  Besides a link to the overview and another to the Cryoburn CD, of course.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is the fic_promptly comment-fic comm, in which, somewhat hilariously, Vorkosigan is a huge fandom - there are a handful of us there who regularly leave and fill Vorkosiverse prompts at the moment, which accounts for a lot of the drabbles and short fics written in the fandom lately.

It's a fandom with a strong tendency towards writing serious epic AUs.

Vorkosigan has historically been one of the most active Yuletide fandoms, but has likely grown too large for future participation. The Winterfair ficathon was started this year as a potential replacement. A summer ficathon also runs yearly on bujold_fic.

There is a sizable Russian-language fandom and some cross-language activity. Much of the English-language fic in the fandom is also available in Russian, and a little bit of the Russian-language fic is also available in English.

OT, but I just noticed the first three cross-over fics recced aren't there anymore.
